Title: Director of Sales
Position Overview
The Yard Gnomes are seeking a driven, creative, and energetic Director of Sales to lead revenue-generating initiatives for the organization. This position is responsible for executing strategies for individual, season, and group ticket sales, as well as corporate partnership and advertising sales. The ideal candidate will have the creativity and independence to close sales after researching and identifying potential clients and executing sales presentations. The role will focus on building strong relationships in the community, maximizing fan attendance, and generating substantial advertising revenue.

Who Are the Greenville Yard Gnomes?
The Yard Gnomes are a two-year-old team located in Greenville, N.C., and a member of the Coastal Plain League. The league is one of the top summer collegiate baseball leagues in the country, with over 200 alumni who have made it to the Major Leagues.

Responsibilities
Ticket Sales
● Lead all ticket sales efforts, including season tickets, mini plans, group sales, and individual game
tickets.
● Develop and implement creative ticket packages, promotions, and initiatives to drive revenue and
attendance.
● Supervise box office operations to ensure a smooth and professional customer experience.
● Track and report ticket sales progress, providing regular updates to the General Manager.

Corporate Partnerships and Advertising Sales
● Prospect, sell, and renew corporate sponsorships, advertising, and hospitality packages.
● Build strong relationships with local and regional businesses.
● Ensure sponsor fulfillment, brand alignment, and maximum value for partners.
Operational Support
● Assist with in-season game day operations.
● Support front office staff with additional duties to ensure smooth execution of team events and
operations.

Qualifications
● Proven track record in sales, preferably in sports.
● Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
● Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build relationships quickly.
● Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
● Ticket system knowledge preferred. (The Yard Gnomes utilize Vivenu for ticketing.)
● Demonstrated ability to manage a staff to execute all ticketing objectives.
● Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season.
● Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Compensation
Base salary plus commission/bonus opportunities based on sales performance.
