Job Summary:
The Special Event Sales and Service Coordinator will be dual-focused role responsible for selling and coordinating private and internal events at Great American Ball Park. This individual will play a key role in managing event sales inquiries, coordinating site visits, and providing exceptional service throughout the planning and execution of special events. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional who excels at building client relationships, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring seamless event coordination from start to finish.

Employees are expected to follow all Cincinnati Reds policies and procedures, serve as positive role models, and manage their workload effectively. This includes demonstrating flexibility, prioritizing tasks efficiently, and meeting departmental productivity standards.
 
Minimum Requirements:
Education | Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience | 1+ year of experience in event sales, outbound sales, or business development.Experience coordinating meetings, conferences, or special events, including logistics and vendor management.

Skills | Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and active listening capabilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
 
Preferred (Desired) Qualifications:
Education | Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience | 1+ year of experience in event sales, outbound sales, or business development.Experience coordinating meetings, conferences, or special events, including logistics and vendor management.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Event Sales: Manage incoming special event inquiries via email and online platforms. Schedule and conduct meetings, site visits, and follow-up calls to convert leads into booked events. Actively prospect and build a pipeline of new clients through outbound calls, networking, and relationship-building. Prepare and maintain sales collateral, proposals, and work orders to support the sales process. Collaborate with the sales team and management on the development and execution of targeted sales campaigns. | 50%

Event Coordinating: Coordinate and execute events throughout the year, primarily on non-game days, and peak holiday periods. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing personalized service throughout the planning and execution process. Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all elements meet contract specifications and client expectations. Maintain effective communication between the Cincinnati Reds, Delaware North Companies (DNC), SBM, clients, and third-party vendors. Act as liaison between third party vendors to obtain additional nontraditional revenues for the Cincinnati Reds. Provide administrative support including invoicing, record keeping, customer communications, and general office organization. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. | 50%

Physical Requirements:
  • Willing to work events during non-traditional hours (including evenings, weekends and holidays).
  • Occasionally required to sit
  • Use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear
  • Some lifting/carrying to assist with event preparation, up to 50 pounds
  • May be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
