Job Summary:
The Cincinnati Reds are seeking an individual to join the Corporate Partnerships team as a Corporate Partnerships Manager.  The position includes the responsibility of researching/identifying, developing and retaining sponsor relationships with local, regional and national corporate partners for the Reds.  The ideal candidate has partnership sales experience, including knowledge of media and partnership analytics, with strong knowledge of the Greater Cincinnati market.  He/she can work well within a team setting but is self-motivated and thrives on competition and achieving goals.  The ability to develop relationships and business opportunities is key.  The ability to collaborate with colleagues and other departments (both internal and external) is critical.  The Corporate Partnerships team prides itself on achieving revenue goals, providing best-in-class client relationships and experiences and serving as ambassadors for the Reds organization.

Minimum Requirements:
Education 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or sales
Experience
  • Five (5) years of sponsorship, media or partnership sales experience
  • Sales experience within the Greater Cincinnati area/region
Skills
  • Excellent communication (oral, written and presentation)
  • Listening skills with the ability to interact with many people
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Track record of achieving individual sales goals
  • Strong network of sponsorship/media contacts across industries
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships internally and externally
  • Creative and strategic thinking
 
 
Preferred (Desired) Qualifications:
Education
Master’s degree in Sports Administration,  Sports Management, Business or Sales

Experience
Eight (8) years of sponsorship, media or partnership sales experience with a team or league

Skills
  • Track record of team/league sponsorship sales to local, regional and national clients
  • Ability to transfer applicable sponsor relationships to opportunities with the Reds
 
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Achieve assigned annual individual sales goals while contributing to overall department revenue objectives.
Duty | % of Time
Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Cincinnati Reds sponsorship assets, including in-park, media, and digital platforms | 15%

Identify and cultivate new business categories and prospective partners through research tools, networking, referrals, and market awareness. | 20%

Create, tailor, and present compelling sponsorship solutions to senior-level decision makers based on client needs and opportunities | 20%

Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships team members to ensure successful execution and fulfillment of sponsorship campaigns | 20%

Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail | 15%

Accurately input and maintain activity records within the department CRM system | 5%

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support department and organizational goals | 5%
               
Reporting Structure:
This role reports directly to the Vice President of Corporate Partnerships
 
Development Path & Next Role & Requirements:
Next Role: Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager

Development Requirements:
  • Multiple years of success in generating revenue and managing sponsor partnerships.
  • Demonstrate a track record of leadership, both via personal sales results but also assisting with the development and success of others in the department.
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Occasionally required to sit
  • Use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear
  • Light lifting/carrying to assist with event preparation
  • May be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Willing to conduct business during non-traditional hours, utilizing games and events (including evenings and weekends) to interact with clients and prospects
  • Occasional business travel may be required
