Position Summary:
The Chicago White Sox are seeking to add a Strength & Conditioning Intern for the 2026 season. This position is based out of our complex in Glendale, Arizona. In this role you will work closely with the White Sox Performance and Player Development Departments to optimize players’ health and performance outcomes.
You will report to Glendale, Arizona prior to the start of Spring Training to learn our Sports Performance and Conditioning programs, and you’ll assist in all camps, spring training, extended spring training and the Arizona Complex League season.
The duration of the position is February 1st – September 30th, 2026
· Monthly Salary: $3,750
· Housing Stipend Provided
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively within the Sports Performance Department in the disciplines of Sports Science, Performance Nutrition, Mental Performance, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Training to develop holistic athlete centered programs.
Implementation and teaching of organization’s strength and conditioning program.
Prescribe and teach individualized physical development program based on athletes ongoing physical assessments throughout the year.
Daily dynamic warm-up, mobility, movement prep, and speed development programs to prepare athletes for training sessions.
Implementation of daily conditioning protocols to maximize on-field health and performance.
Knowledge, experience and willingness to learn and utilize various technologies (wearable and non-wearable).
Communicate plans, goals, and progress with players and staff members at specific times of the year. Generation of various reports.
Assist other medical staff when able and necessary with normal day-to-day operations.
Collaboration with all members of player development to identify and act on solutions related to physical limitations for specific skills.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field, master’s degree preferred (exercise science, physical education, biomechanics).
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS-NSCA).
Minimum of 1-3 years Professional or College Level Experience Required.
Passionate about the game of baseball and enhancement of associated players.
Previous experience working in an interdisciplinary high-performance environment.
Fluency in Spanish highly preferred but not required.
Excellent written, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Independent judgment and ability to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.
Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
