The Chicago White Sox Community Relations team is adding an intern for the 2026 season. In this impactful role you will support our wide array of Community Relations initiatives, from in-game activations to season-long platforms like our scoreboard messaging and in-kind donation programs. You’ll also help with Chicago White Charities fundraiser events, including Beyond the Diamond and the annual golf outing. Responsibilities:
· Serve as the contact for Scoreboard messages.
o Process and track online scoreboard message orders.
o Work with game operations to ensure all messages are included in the game presentation.
o Fulfill scoreboard photo requests including creating photo messages in Adobe Photoshop
o Troubleshoot any customer related issues.
· Serve at the department contact for in-kind ticket donations.
o Approving requests
o Fulfilling ticket requests
· In-kind donation fulfillment including
o Approve requests.
o Fulfill requests – both electronically and via shipping
· Support MLB related activations – including both not limited to Lou Gehrig Day and Childhood Cancer Awareness Day
· Fulfill Community Clubhouse suite assets including management of tickets, welcoming groups, etc.
· Assist with Chicago White Sox Charities fundraising events, including Beyond the Diamond, Field of Greens Celebrity Golf Tournament, Lunch with the Sox and garage sales.
· Aid with all Community Relations initiatives including SoxFest Live, hosting VIP experiences, and attending community events on behalf of the team.
Skills
· College Degree; concentration in Marketing or Communications preferred.
· Ability to collaborate on projects with a variety of internal departments and external partners.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly.
· Ability to multi-task and oversee execution of a wide variety of projects at the same time.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Experience in Community Relations, fundraising or development; sports related experience a plus.
· Must be available to work Monday-Friday, 9am – 5pm and nights and/or weekends as needed (based on the home baseball schedule and/or departmental events.
Compensation:
· $18.00 per hour
