The Wilmington Blue Rocks are seeking someone who loves working with computers to serve as our Digital Media Director. He or she will manage content and placement for the Blue Rocks’ digital marketing efforts and develop and execute strategies for increasing social media content and awareness on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok. The ideal candidate will grow engagement and drive business goals on these digital channels and bring a creative approach which optimizes the way content is both created and displayed and significantly increases fan engagement.

Responsibilities
  •  Develop and manage content for social media and other digital engagement platforms
  • Bring team ideas and initiatives to life
  • Strategically analyze and assist in the design of digital campaigns to drive ticket revenue
  • Create and manage a social media fan engagement site at the ballpark
  • Compile, understand and adjust campaigns based on analytics gathered
  • Implement and manage review processes across all digital channels
  • Continuously research industry and technology trends that increase traffic/consumption
  • Develop a content calendar to best schedule distribution
  • Brainstorm content ideas for our digital platforms
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in digital media, sports experience a plus
  • Technical knowledge of digital standards and trends
  • Having worked on at least one successful digital media campaign 
  • Strong project management, prioritization, assessment and organizational skills 
  • Ability to identify process improvements and problem-solve
  • Possesses creative mindset with strong aesthetic sense 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects from start to finish and meet deadlines
  • Proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator preferred
  • Video editing (proficiency with Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, or Avid) a plus
  • Ability (and willingness) to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends and some holidays
