Reporting to senior ticket sales leadership, the Inside Sales Representative will participate in a sales development program geared to prepare entry level candidates for a career within the sports sales industry. The Salem RidgeYaks, the Single-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox owned by Diamond Baseball Holdings are seeking motivated and driven individuals to join the Ticket Sales team as a part of an Inside Sales class primarily focusing on selling season ticket packages. These individuals will receive detailed and comprehensive sports sales training with a strong focus on developing the skills necessary to become an industry sales leader. The training will benefit the individual’s career growth as a full menu sports sales representative. Day-to-day leadership is provided by full-time ticket sales staff.
This is a 12-month program that focuses on growing the representative’s professional skill set as a full menu sales professional. This training program begins approximately September 21st, 2026 and will give the right candidate all the tools needed to carve out a place in the rewarding and lucrative world of sports. With qualified leads and regular coaching and instruction, our Inside Sales program will prepare you for success. Representatives are expected to work the entire duration of our 2027 Regular Season, beginning in April of 2027 and concluding in September of 2027.

Ideal candidates for an Inside Sales Representative position will be effective storytellers and be able to communicate over the phone and face-to-face to find the most effective product for our clients, generating ticket revenue and filling the stadium with enthusiastic fans.
Many of our past Inside Sales Representatives have gone on to be hired to full-time positions—both internally with the Salem RidgeYaks and externally with other globally recognized franchises. In addition to hourly pay, ISR’s will benefit from one of the strongest commission structures in all of Minor League Baseball.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (completed or expected by start date)
- Strong communication skills, desire to learn, and a passion for the product
- Positive attitude with a competitive, goal-oriented mindset
- Ability to operate Microsoft Office programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or hospitality
- Experience working in professional sports, collegiate athletics, or live events
- Experience making outbound calls is a plus (not required)
- Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus (not required)
- Experience with Tickets.com or similar ticketing system a plus (not required)

- Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, some holidays, and some overtime to meet business needs across Salem RidgeYaks games and non-gameday events
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Operate your own vehicle to attend out of office appointments with clients and prospects
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Capable of Public Communication, including public speaking
- This role is computer based and will require extended periods of time working in front of a computer screen
- Capable of listening carefully and speaking to others on the telephone/walkie-talkie
- Ability to make quick decisions
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 60 outbound phone calls per day
- Exceed monthly and season long sales goals
- Build strong relationships with clients and provide top-flight customer service to all fans
- Other duties as assigned

The Salem RidgeYaks are the Single-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox and call Carilion Clinic Field in Salem, Virginia home. Founded in 1968, the Salem RidgeYaks are in the Northern Division of the Carolina League.
