Position Overview
The Visiting Clubhouse Manager will report directly to the Director - Clubhouse Equipment & Operations in the management and maintenance of the visiting clubhouse during the 2026 Salem Red Sox season. The Visiting Clubhouse Manager must be able to interact professionally with umpires, coaches, and players on both teams.
Responsibilities
- Set up visiting team facilities in advance of the season & break down visiting team facilities after the season
- Loading/unloading team buses for team arrivals and departures, as needed
- Laundering all uniforms, personal items, and towels, as needed
- Working & Communicating with the Director of Clubhouse Ops daily
- Ensure clubhouse maintenance and upkeep including trash, cleaning and stocking bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, pressure washing, etc., as needed
- Keep clubhouse snacks/beverages stocked
- Assist visiting teams with preparation and set up of pre/post-game meals
- Set up of dugout for early field work, batting practice, and game (includes putting out bubble gum, seeds, towels, water, and Gatorade)
- Provide general support and fulfill baseball related requests from staff and players
- Provide exemplary service to umpires, players & staff
- Maintain cleanliness of tunnels, bullpen & dugouts (which includes deep cleaning during off-weeks)
- On occasion, may be tasked with running errands outside the ballpark
- Being available to aid visiting teams/staff at any time (day or night) during their stay in Salem
- Other tasks, as assigned by the Director of Clubhouse Ops or dictated by the PDL guidelines
Qualifications
- Availability for ALL (66) home games plus playoffs (April - September)
- Ability to effectively and reliably perform all responsibilities listed
- Ability to work long hours and late nights (expect to stay an additional 3+ hours after the conclusion of each game)
- A self-starter, with exemplary customer service skills
- Possess superior organizational skills and cleanliness
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs. and stand or walk for long periods of time in adverse weather including rain and heat
Preferred Qualifications
- Willingness to pursue a career in the sports industry
- Previous experience in a similar environment (Professional Athletics Clubhouse, College Athletics Program, etc.) or hospitality
Compensation
The Visiting Clubhouse Manager will be paid $2,500-3,000/mo (April - September) in season. This is a full-time, seasonal position.
