The Fredericksburg Nationals are the Carolina League Affiliate of the 2019 World Series Champion Washington Nationals. Formerly the Potomac Nationals, the ball club has moved roughly 30 miles south from their previous home in Woodbridge, VA to open a brand new, state-of-the-art Stadium in Fredericksburg, VA for the 2020 season.

The FredNats are seeking college student/recent graduate who is passionate about working in the sports industry to be an integral part of the ticket office staff for the 2020 season. This position focuses on learning all facets of running a successful ticket department, including managing game day operations, ticket sales, and customer service. 
 
 Overview:
This position reports to the Director of Ticket Operations. The role focuses on both ticket operations in the box office and ticket sales, as candidates will be expected to sell ticket plans and other ticketing inventory as assigned while pushing towards a sales goal.

 This is a seasonal, full time internship with the position running from early March to the end of the season in September. Start/end dates subject to change based on season. 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 
  • Process walk-up, online and phone order ticket sales
  • Print and reconcile tickets
  • Assist gameday staff and fans with ticket related issues as necessary
  • Enter data into ticket sales database
  • Assisting the sales staff with season ticket & group sales 
  • Make calls to sell various ticket packages throughout the course of the season.
  • Supporting the group sales department with gameday client hospitality
  • Collaborating with the front office staff in creating new and unique promotions and ticket packages
 
Qualifications: 
  • Candidates must be reliable, detail oriented, problem solvers, multi-task efficiently, have solid communication skills and writing ability, a strong work ethic, stellar customer service skills, and a strong team work mentality. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
  • Ticketing experience is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions; including rain, humidity, cold & heat
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays during the Fredericksburg Nationals 2020 Season
