Position Summary
The Fredericksburg Nationals are seeking a highly motivated Partnership Department Intern for the 2025 season. This individual will assist with partnership activation, outreach, sales support, and game-day operations. This internship is ideal for candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in sports partnerships, business operations, and the daily functions of a Minor League Baseball front office.
This is a seasonal position running from January through September, with a flexible work schedule. Candidates must be available for all home games and special events during the season.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business leads for corporate partnerships
- Conduct cold calls to prospective business clients
- Maintain accurate and organized information in CRM
- Support partnership activation and fulfillment
- Assist with game day operations, including tarp pulls
- Help prepare partnership recaps, summaries, and supporting materials
- Communicate professionally with partners, fans, and internal departments
- Support special events and team initiatives across departments
- Contribute to creating an exceptional experience for partners and guests
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Desire to start a career in sports or entertainment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to changing needs
