About Pelicans Ballpark
Pelicans Ballpark is a year-round entertainment venue and home to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Class-A Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Pelicans Ballpark is in Myrtle Beach, SC less than a mile from the beach. The ballpark hosts 66 Pelicans game each year in addition to numerous other events including concerts, baseball/softball games, the Myrtle Beach Marathon, community events and more.

The Pelicans are entering their 27th season in Myrtle Beach.  The team played its first season in 1999 and recently signed a new 30-year lease with the City of Myrtle Beach, securing their future in Pelicans Ballpark for decades to come.

Position Description
This position will oversee the fulfillment of all partnership agreements.  Duties include but are not limited to tracking and managing all signed agreements, tracking and managing sponsorship inventory, sending regular inventory updates to the appropriate departments, creating partnership proposals, assisting with design projects for both team and partner elements, and assisting in the execution of all elements.  This will require you to work closely with team partners, contractors, and all internal departments including but not limited to sales, promotions, production, and operations.

 Responsibilities
  • Manage all partnership agreements;
    • Create proposals
    • Create contracts
    • Facilitate signing process and filing with the Director of Finance
    • Coordinate with all necessary departments and assist in execution of elements throughout the year
  • Attend meetings with Pelicans Sponsorship Team and Partners to get insight on partner’s overall goals, desires, and needs of the partnership 
  • Facilitate weekly or bi-weekly internal Sponsorship Meetings to update departments on inventory, upcoming sponsored elements, deadlines
  • Work as the liaison between the Sales Team and corporate partners 
  • Work with the Assistant General Manager of Fan Engagement to create, plan, schedule, and publish relevant social media content as it relates to the partner’s overall goals & agreement
  • Coordinate all content/campaign ideas with the AGM of Fan Engagement for approval
  • Schedule, organize, and facilitate filming for sponsor commercials and social media campaigns with partners and the production team
  • Assist in producing sponsor-related creative via Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
  • Build the nightly PA script and run-of-show using our scriptwriting platform to ensure inclusion and execution of all partner activations such as pre-game, in-game, or post-game events, PA drops, videos, and prizes
  • Assist with execution of the in-game show;
    • Coordinate with the AGM of Fan Engagement to run pre-game, in-game, and post-game activities from the field/concourse level
    • Assist in leading the game day promotional crew
  • Facilitate collecting, producing, and installing signage with Director of Operations, Sports Turf Manager and external Sign Company. Includes creating or collecting artwork, sending to Signage Company for print, and scheduling installs. 
  • Manage the club’s photo archive and file partner related photos accordingly 
  • Act as the liaison between the Club and Major League Baseball for National Partnership Activations 
  • Work with Ticket Department on Partner hospitality nights, partner coupons, and sponsored elements on ticket collateral 
  • Collect or create various design elements for Club’s website, newsletter, game day program
  • Build in-depth Proof of Performances for clients

Required Qualifications
  • Proven ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and coordinate between multiple teams
  • Amazing communication, both written and verbal 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure 
  • 2-3 years in Minor League Baseball or relative experience preferred
  • Design experience preferred, specifically with Photoshop/Illustrator
