Position Overview:
The Lynchburg Hillcats, proud 2025 Carolina League Champions and the Single-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians, are seeking a seasonal Box Office Manager to join our front office team for the 2026 season.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about customer service and ticket sales, technologically savvy, enjoys working with a small staff, and can assist with building ticket packages, price points, and changes to our venue in our ticketing system. As a Box Office Manager, this individual will lead a small box office sales team each gameday, manage a ticket system that will need updating due to $6 million stadium renovation, ensure that entry into Bank of the James Stadium is safe and efficient, keep an inventory of box office supplies, and play a pivotal role in creating an outstanding first impression for Hillcats fans. 

Key Responsibilities:
Box Office Management:

 
  • Assist with management of our ticketing system, TicketReturn. 
  • Develop a game day checklist to ensure box office is ready for each game. 
  • Track box office sales and report end of game revenue numbers.  
  • Assist with fulfillment of tickets for mini plan holders, season ticket holders, and group ticket clients. 
  • Assist with ticket sales campaigns focusing on ticket packages and group tickets.
Leadership:
 
  • Hire, schedule, train, and manage a small box office staff of 10-12 employees.
  • Supervise the box office staff on game days and perform box office shut down procedures at the end of each night.
  • Manage and keep track of labor hours to stay within budget.

Event Planning:
 
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure tickets are fulfilled and the necessary items are in the box office. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Merchandise and Ticket Operations, Assistant General Manager, and/or General Manager.

  • A self-starter mentality with a strong work ethic and genuine passion for facility management.
  • A coachable attitude with a desire to learn.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Availability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays as required during the season.
Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $12.77/hr
