ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - COMMUNITY RELATIONS
Position Overview:

The Lynchburg Hillcats, proud 2025 Carolina League Champions and the Single-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians, are seeking a driven and outgoing Account Executive – Community Relations to join our front office team.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about sales, community engagement, and creating meaningful connections throughout the greater Lynchburg area. As the face of our community outreach efforts, this individual will lead key initiatives, cultivate partnerships, and play a pivotal role in shaping the Hillcats’ presence beyond the ballpark.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Outreach:
  •  Make 40+ touchpoints per day through calls, emails, and in-person outreach.
  •  Proactively identify and develop new community and corporate ticket partnerships.
  •  Sell group outings, non-profit fundraising nights, and community-based ticket programs.
Community Engagement:
  •  Lead and manage Southpaw’s Reading Club, impacting over 20,000 students across the region. 
  • Coordinate and grow the Community Champions Program, partnering with 100+ local non-profits.
  • Attend 2–3 community events per month to represent the Hillcats and build relationships.
  • Manage mascot appearance schedule.
Event Planning:
  • Plan and execute themed nights throughout the season, working with community partners to enhance fan engagement and attendance.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Hillcats and local organizations to ensure seamless activation of community nights and appearance.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A self-starter mentality with a strong work ethic and genuine passion for community involvement.
  • Previous sales experience or the ability to confidently make cold calls and public presentations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with a wide variety of people.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in sports, non-profits, education, or community organizing is a plus.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required during the season.
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base Salary: $35,000
