POSITION: On-Field Host (Seasonal)
OVERVIEW:
The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers are the Single-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox and members of Minor League Baseball's historic Carolina League. Over the past five years, the team has experienced non-stop growth by creating incredible experiences and embracing the community inside and outside the award-winning Atrium Health Ballpark.
As a signature ingredient of game-day entertainment, the Cannon Ballers are seeking an On-Field Host who will play a key role in bringing energy, personality, and fun to the ballpark experience. This position will serve as a primary on-field emcee during Cannon Ballers home games, engaging fans through promotions, contests, sponsor activations, and live interactions that enhance the overall atmosphere at Atrium Health Ballpark.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Host and execute in-game promotions, contests, giveaways, and sponsor activations with high energy and enthusiasm.
- Interact with fans of all ages in a fun, professional, and approachable manner.
- Collaborate closely with the Cannon Ballers Entertainment Department to ensure seamless execution of creative gameday activations.
- Adapt quickly to live-game situations, timing changes, and spontaneous moments.
- Conduct both pregame and postgame interviews with fans, sponsors, and players.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in on-field hosting, emceeing, performance, improvisation, or live event presentation is preferred.
- Strong stage presence with the ability to confidently address large crowds and be in front of the camera.
- High-energy personality with excellent verbal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of baseball and in-game timing is preferred.
- Available for the majority of home games (primarily evenings and weekends); This is a game day role compensated on a per-game basis. Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player.
