POSITION: Bookkeeper & Office Administrator (Part-Time)

OVERVIEW: 
The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers are the Single-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox and member of Minor League Baseball. The team has experienced exponential growth within the community and baseball industry while activating the award-winning Atrium Health Ballpark.  The organization has assembled a Front Office that is driven by a commitment to professionalism, collaboration, and creating an exceptional workplace culture.

The Cannon Ballers are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to support the organization’s bookkeeping needs and assist with general office administration. This role plays a critical part in keeping our front office running smoothly and will report directly to the General Manager.

JOB TYPE: 
Part-Time (Approximately 20-30 hours per week)

PRIMARY DUTIES: 
  • Handle invoicing, bill pay, and general bookkeeping functions.
  • Manage filing and organization of paperwork, including new-hire and onboarding documents.
  • Prepare and deliver deposits to the local bank branch.
  • Support department leaders with administrative needs, including employee onboarding and payroll review coordination.
  • Manage office-related vendors such as cleaning services, printer/copier suppliers, internet service provider, etc. 
  • Assist with outgoing and incoming mail as needed.
  • Help maintain and support the office and team calendar.
  • All other duties as assigned by General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Practical work experience in a related bookkeeping or administrative role strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and the ability to learn new web-based systems
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the willingness to always Have a Blast
