Job Summary
The Hill City Howlers are seeking a highly motivated and hard working Catering/Team Chef to lead our newly developed catering organization. This part-time position is responsible for preparing and executing nutrient-dense, high-quality meals tailored to athlete performance requirements. Responsibilities include cooking and preparing catered meals twice a day for home and visiting teams (50-100 people) while working with our Catering Manager on a menu that complies with nutrition guidelines set forth by the Major League affiliate of each club.

This role is ideal for an experience chef who is looking to pursue a career in culinary arts and is passionate about creating nutritious meals for professional athletes. An ideal start date is April 1st.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Culinary Production: Execute daily, high-quality cooking for players and staff, ensuring consistency and proper presentation.
  • Food Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and health-code-compliant kitchen, following safety protocols.
  • Teamwork: Work alongside our Catering Manager, cooks, and other kitchen staff. 
  • Inventory & Reporting: Manage inventory and report low inventory to our Catering Manager.
  • Average Work Day: Work long irregular work hours, including weekends.  Work would start on the Monday before each homestand and would continue for the entire week while the team is in town.  Work is not needed while the team is on the road.
Starting Pay
  • $17-$25/hr based on experience.
  • Culinary Arts Degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be available for the entire season.
