Ticket Operations: Box Office Management
Title: Ticketing Intern 
 
Reports to: Director of Ticket Sales
 
Overall Responsibility:
Pre-season: Intern will help prepare the ticket system for the season.  He or she will be involved with selling season, individual game, and group tickets.  The intern will also help manage databases and help coordinate the distribution of digital tickets.
 
In-season: Intern will help manage all ticket sales and accounts, and will help manage the box office and other game-day ticket operation responsibilities.  The intern will become proficient with the ticket system.  The intern will also contribute to other areas including merchandise, operations, group sales, and promotions.
 
 Responsibilities:
  • Set up and break down Box Office, gates, and remote ticket areas
  • Help run ticketing reports, audit ticket sales, manage databases
  • Sell individual tickets via phone orders and walk-up orders
  • Maintain box office during the day
  • Help the Director manage the box office staff
  • Help the Director address and resolve customer issues
  • Pitch in with stadium operations and non-baseball stadium events 
  • Assist full-time staff with office responsibilities and help other departments as needed
  • Fully understand and abide by all rules and regulations contained within the Greensboro Baseball, LLC Employee Handbook
 
Qualifications:
  • Should have a strong desire to work and learn in an event-style atmosphere
  • Be willing and able to work LONG hours 
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Be able to learn and use a ticketing software application
  • Have a positive disposition with fans at all times in person and over the phone
  • Be able to take initiative and work in an isolated setting (i.e.- Box Office)
  • Be able to follow directions and work well with others
  • Be willing and able to help lead and manage other people
  • Be comfortable with the responsibility of managing cash and credit information
  • Be extremely detail-oriented
  • Value organization, customer service, thoroughness, accountability, and fun!
