Stadium Operations Associate (Seasonal, Entry‑Level)

Delmarva Shorebirds – Arthur W. Perdue Stadium
Position Summary
The Stadium Operations Associate is a seasonal, entry‑level role that provides essential support to the Stadium Operations Manager in the daily operation and maintenance of Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. This position assists with game day and event setup, basic facility upkeep, vendor coordination, and operational tasks that ensure a clean, safe, and enjoyable ballpark experience. This role is ideal for individuals looking to begin a career in sports operations, facility management, or event operations.

Reports To: Stadium Operations Manager (and supports the Front Office Staff as needed)
Primary Responsibilities:
Facility Operations Support
·         Assist with daily facility tasks, including basic upkeep, light maintenance, and monitoring stadium systems under the direction of the Stadium Operations Manager.
·         Support the completion and tracking of routine maintenance tasks throughout the stadium.
·         Help coordinate and assist external vendors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, scoreboards, etc.) when on site.
·         Maintain and assist with organizing tools, supplies, and equipment storage areas.
·         Support the installation, removal, and upkeep of stadium signage, billboards, seat signage, and other ballpark display elements.
·         Assist in maintaining simple logs and documentation related to maintenance and equipment activity.
Event Operations Support
·         Assist with game day and special event setup, including tables, chairs, equipment, inflatables, promotional materials, and on‑field elements.
·         Support housekeeping and janitorial vendors to ensure the stadium remains clean and fan‑ready.
·         Assist the Stadium Operations Manager with operations of the stadium kids areas and event parking operations and traffic flow during games and special events.
·         Help troubleshoot basic operational issues during events, escalating concerns as needed.
·         Perform additional, event‑related operational tasks assigned by the Stadium Operations Manager.
Qualifications & Skills
·         Entry‑level role; previous experience in facility operations, maintenance, events, or customer service is helpful but not required.
·         Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and take direction.
·         Ability to stay organized, adapt quickly, and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
·         Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred.
·         Energetic, enthusiastic, and comfortable working as part of an operations team.
Physical & Schedule Requirements
·         This is a seasonal position, typically running from March through September, with the potential for pre‑season and postseason hours as needed.
·         Must be able to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the baseball season.
·         Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand or walk for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
Compensation
Seasonal hourly position; $15 per hour
Seasonal staff may be eligible for certain team perks but are not eligible for full‑time benefits.
