Game day interns will work alongside full-time staff and other interns to execute RiverDogs home games and events at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park for the duration of the season (April 2-September 6). These roles will include ticketing, promotions, operations, food & beverage, and more.
The RiverDogs will train game day interns in the following areas:
Promotions - Assist promo department with execution of special event and theme nights, including on-field games and contests, fan interaction, fan giveaways, fireworks, and special promotions.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Creativity and a passion for live events and fan engagement.
- Flexibility availability, including nights and weekends.
- Experience in event coordination is a plus.
- Energetic, personable, and thrives in fast-paced environments while creating memorable fan experiences
This internship is open to local students and graduates who wish to begin a career in the sports industry by experiencing a variety of different department duties in preparation to and during a home game.
Hours for this internship are generally 60 minutes prior to gate opening through the end of the game that night (approximately 4-5 hours per game), subject to change based on the needs of the Director of Promotions. Those selected are encouraged to work as many games as their schedule allows.
Typical weekly schedule:
Tuesday - Friday: 5-10 PM
Saturday: 4-9 PM
Sunday: 3-8 PM
