Position Summary:
The Charleston RiverDogs are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Control Room Coordinator to lead the execution of our in-game entertainment experience. This role is central to creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park, ensuring that all technical and entertainment elements run smoothly and in sync with the game script.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage game day control room staff, including:
- Camera operators
- Sound operator
- PA announcer
- Video board/replay operator
- Work closely with the Director of Promotions to execute the game day entertainment strategy.
- Ensure all elements of the game script are followed precisely, including:
- PA reads
- Music cues
- Lighting effects
- Video board content
- Adjust and enhance the game atmosphere in real-time based on crowd energy and game situations, as directed by the Director of Promotions.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in live event production or sports entertainment preferred
- Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable managing a team and making quick decisions under pressure
- Strong understanding of baseball rules, flow, and fan engagement dynamics
- Passion for creating memorable fan experiences
