Internship Opportunities with The Charleston RiverDogs

The Charleston RiverDogs are excited to offer a comprehensive range of internships for the 2026 season, providing valuable experience and insight into the operations of a minor league baseball team. Our paid internship program is designed to provide real-world experience and comprehensive training in a vibrant, fast-paced environment, running from approximately March through September, 2026. These positions are designed to immerse interns in the full scope of running a professional sports organization. College credit is preferred, and exceptional interns may be considered for future full-time roles.

Our mission is to deliver a memorable and engaging experience to our diverse fanbase at each of our more than 60 baseball home games as well at various entertainment events at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in historic Charleston, South Carolina.

Groundskeeping/Horticulture Internship. 
Develop your skills in maintaining and enhancing the playing field and surrounding landscape of a professional baseball stadium. 
Qualifications:
• Background or coursework in turf management, horticulture, or related field.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong teamwork and time management skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Assisting in maintaining the playing field to professional standards, including mowing, fertilizing, and irrigation.
• Participating in field preparations for games and events.
• Learning and applying best practices for field repair.
• Operating groundskeeping machinery and equipment safely.
• Supporting the Groundskeeping team with special projects and improvements.
