The Fredericksburg Nationals are the Class-A Affiliate of the Washington Nationals.  Located in historic Fredericksburg, VA in a growing vibrant market.  The FredNats play in Virginia Credit Union Stadium which opened in 2021.  Virginia Credit Union Stadium is considered to be one of the best ballparks in all of Minor League Baseball.

 Overview:
The Fredericksburg Nationals have seasonal paid internships available for the 2024 season. The internship positions are summer positions that start in January and run through the conclusion of the season (September).
 
Everyone working in minor league baseball wears many different “hats,” so a willingness to go above and beyond one’s normal duties is expected. Candidates are required to be enthusiastic with a great desire to put on a night of entertainment and memories for all the fans at Virginia Credit Union.

Qualifications:

  • Professionalism, friendliness, a strong work ethic, and an interest in event ticketing 
  • Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • The ability to supply excellent customer service to all clients and fans 
  • Able to maintain a flexible work schedule

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Director of Ticket Operations with supervision of Box Office staff, including hiring, and training
  • Assist Director of Ticket Operations in building all facets of events in the ticketing system
  • Provide professional customer service to patrons and clients
  • Assist in answering telephones in a timely manner
  • Assist with walk-in customers and appointments
  • Assist in the maintenance of ticket operations, customer relations, and event day management for all ticketed events
  • Assist with reporting needs, processing, etc. and ensure the proper use of the ticketing system
  • Maintain an understanding of upcoming events and promotions
  • Perform all duties of the Box Office Managers in their absence
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
**All MiLB duties always include tarp pulls**

Duration/Compensation
  • This is a seasonal, part-time, position.
  • Hourly rate
