The Retail Coordinator supports the day-to-day operation of the team’s retail and merchandise functions, including the team store, game-day retail locations, inventory management, eCommerce fulfillment, visual merchandising, and customer service. This position plays an active role in maximizing merchandise sales and creating an exceptional fan experience while ensuring merchandise is accurately received, inventoried, displayed, sold, and fulfilled. The Retail Coordinator also assists with the training, scheduling, and supervision of seasonal and game-day retail staff and supports merchandise operations for all home games, special events, promotions, and other ballpark activities.

Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate daily operations of the team store including opening and closing procedures, register readiness, stocking, organization, and store appearance.
• Deliver an exceptional fan experience by assisting guests with merchandise selections, sizing, product questions, purchases, exchanges, and other retail needs.
• Support achievement of merchandise revenue goals as set by Regional Merchandise Leadership through effective product presentation, replenishment, promotions, and customer engagement.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards throughout the team store and ballpark retail locations, including displays, signage, promotional merchandise, and specialty products.
• Assist with merchandise planning and execution surrounding themed nights, promotional events, holidays, playoffs, special events, and other team initiatives.
• Ensure game-day retail location is properly stocked, staffed, organized, and prepared before gates open.
• Assist with postgame closing procedures, reconciliation, merchandise organization, and preparation for the next event.
• Receive, inspect, process, and properly inventory incoming merchandise shipments in accordance with organizational procedures
• Coordinate replenishment of the team store, kiosks, and other retail locations.
• Handle physical inventory counts, cycle counts and stockroom organization.
• Pick, pack, process, and ship eCommerce orders accurately and within established fulfillment timelines.
• Monitor and respond to eCommerce and retail customer service inquiries in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
• Maintain online merchandise listings, including product images, descriptions, pricing, sizing, inventory information, and other website assets as assigned.
• Assist the Regional with recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and supervising seasonal and game-day retail employees.
• Provide game-day direction to retail staff and ensure employees understand assigned locations, responsibilities, customer service expectations, and operational procedures.
• Monitor retail operations throughout games and events and respond to staffing, inventory, customer service, and operational needs as they arise.
• Work all scheduled team home games, including nights, weekends, holidays, doubleheaders, and other dates as required by the baseball schedule.
• Be available before gates open and following the conclusion of games as necessary to complete retail and ballpark responsibilities.
• Support retail operations during non-baseball events, community events, concerts, special events, and other activities held at the ballpark as assigned.
• Participate in tarp pulls and other weather-related field or stadium activities as assigned and when operationally necessary.
• Maintain flexibility during games and events and respond to changing operational needs in a fast-paced ballpark environment.
• Serve as a positive representative of the organization when interacting with fans, sponsors, community partners, vendors, and other ballpark guests.
Qualifications
• Previous retail, merchandise, customer service, sports, entertainment, hospitality, or related experience preferred.
• Experience working in a professional or collegiate sports environment is a plus.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when handling merchandise, inventory, and eCommerce orders.
• Ability to provide direction, training, and support to seasonal and game-day employees.
• Comfortable working with point-of-sale systems, eCommerce platforms, inventory systems, and standard computer applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain effective in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a larger team.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to meet the attendance requirements associated with a professional baseball schedule.
• Must be available to work all scheduled home games, as well as additional special events and organizational activities as required.
• Ability and willingness to workdays, nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and irregular schedules based on the baseball and event calendar.
• Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods during games and events.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, move, stock, and handle merchandise and boxes weighing 25 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor areas of the ballpark and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to move throughout the ballpark, storage areas, concourses, offices, and other operational areas.
• Ability to perform physical gameday and ballpark responsibilities, including assisting with tarp pulls and other weather-related activities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to work extended hours during games, homestands, special events, and other periods of increased business activity.

Schedule Expectations
Minor League Baseball operates on a nontraditional schedule. This position requires significant evening, weekend, and holiday work during the baseball season. Attendance at all scheduled home games is an essential responsibility of the position, except for approved leave or other legally protected absences. The Retail Coordinator should understand that successful ballpark operations require a team-oriented approach. Employees may periodically be asked to assist outside their primary department, including with game-day setup, weather response, tarp pulls, special events, and other operational activities necessary to safely and successfully operate the ballpark.
