As the Social Media Intern, you’ll report to the Director of Social Media Content, Carter Woodiel. You will assist with the execution of USA Baseball’s social media strategy to elevate the organization's brand, grow engagement, and showcase the organization’s programs. This role will provide hands-on, on-site experience in social media management within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

 
IN THIS ROLE

  • You will assist in developing and executing social media strategies to elevate USA Baseball’s brand and deepen audience engagement across all platforms.
  • You will contribute to USA Baseball's social media content on-site from events at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina and other domestic locations as assigned.
  • You will assist in creating engaging social media content for the main USA Baseball account ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and goals.
  • You will help monitor and analyze social media performance using social media tools to contribute insights to improve strategies and optimize engagement.
  • You will monitor and identify social media trends that present opportunities for USA Baseball to connect with fans and grow its brand.
  • You will develop and pitch creative new ways to cover relevant storylines and build USA Baseball’s brand awareness online.
  • You will collaborate with the Athletic Communications team to integrate their content into a cohesive and impactful plan for USA Baseball’s main social platforms.
  • You will foster an interactive and engaged online community by responding to trends, participating in conversations, and connecting with fans and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have 1-2 years of intern or part-time experience in social media management or content creation, with an understanding of social media strategy and growth.
  • You possess an understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Twitter (X), YouTube, Facebook, and emerging channels.
  • You have a passion for storytelling and the ability to translate the organization's goals and identity into creative digital content and written content.
  • You can leverage social media analytics tools to analyze performance, providing actionable insights to optimize content strategies.
  • You understand and are interested in baseball and the sports industry.

 
REMOTE WORK POLICY

USA Baseball believes in fostering a flexible work environment that promotes work-life balance and enhances employee productivity.

USA Baseball employs a Remote Work Season from the Tuesday after Labor Day through approximately March 1 of the following year. During this time, employees are expected to be in the offices three days of the week, working remotely on a designated remote workday and on Fridays. Employees are expected to be in office Monday through Friday during the USA Baseball Season, which runs from March 1 through Labor Day.
