The
Intern, Retail & Supply Chain Management supports the full scope of USA Baseball’s retail operations, including the official online shop (
USABaseballShop.com), the USA Baseball Flagship Team Store at the National Training Complex in Cary, NC, and satellite retail locations at USA Baseball events across the country.
Position Details:
- Full-time hours (40+ hours/week)
- Duration: March – September 2026

In This Role:
As an Intern, Retail & Supply Chain Management, you will gain hands-on experience in merchandising, supply chain logistics, customer service, and e-commerce operations while contributing to the success of USA Baseball’s retail enterprise. You may:
- Ensure the highest level of customer experience for individuals engaging with the USA Baseball Shop, whether online or in person.
- Collaborate on marketing and product plans for the USA Baseball Shop, contributing to the development of strategies throughout the year.
- Forecast product needs and assist with inventory management across all sales channels.
- Assist in the hiring, training, and management of Team Store staff for events at the USA Baseball National Training Complex, ensuring excellent customer service during tournaments and showcases.
- Help oversee day-to-day Team Store operations, including visual merchandising standards, customer returns, and exchanges.
- Oversee inventory, shipping, and tracking of officially licensed merchandise for the USA Baseball National Team Championships and other events.
- May travel to USA Baseball events across the country to oversee on-site event merchandising (all required travel costs covered by USA Baseball).
- Maintain the USA Baseball Shop website by updating product descriptions, photographs, and other content as needed.
- Support the Senior Director, Retail, and the Coordinator, Retail Operations, and complete administrative duties as necessary.
Qualifications:

- You have at least one year of retail experience.
- You are highly organized with strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- You have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- You are flexible, adaptable, and comfortable taking on new responsibilities as assigned.
- You can communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of audiences.
- You are available to work weekdays and weekends during USA Baseball events at the National Training Complex.
- You are available to travel to off-site event locations across the United States, as needed.
- You can lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- You are in pursuit of or have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- You can successfully complete a background check prior to employment.
Preferred:
- Experience in retail management, merchandising, supply chain logistics, or e-commerce operations.
- Familiarity with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
- Experience supervising part-time or seasonal staff.
- Strong visual merchandising skills and an eye for brand presentation.
