As the Trading Card Category Coordinator, you will report directly to the Director of Partner & Player Relations, Allison Gupton. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between USA Baseball and its trading card licensee, with a touchpoint on all aspects of the trading card license program. This role involves the coordination of key events related to USA Baseball’s trading card initiatives, approvals, inventory management, and category ideation.
IN THIS ROLE
- Maintain consistent communication with USA Baseball’s trading card licensee regarding product planning for hobby/retail releases and print-on-demand.
- Write detailed player biographies and postseason summaries for trading card content, along with annual recap articles highlighting USA Baseball’s trading card and memorabilia initiatives.
- Oversee all aspects of product approvals.
- Manage and grow the USA Baseball Cards email database through targeted campaigns and engaging social media content, while also writing blog posts and product descriptions to support the annual Factory Set fundraiser on USABaseballShop.com.
- Support autograph signing sessions and collaborate cross-departmentally to plan and execute media day events for national teams and development programs.
- Coordinate game-worn and game-used memorabilia orders with the Senior Director of Retail, including managing jersey inventory, patch orders, and schedules, and overseeing the collection, labeling, and shipment of inventory to the trading card licensee and within the USA Baseball memorabilia vault.
- Manage the annual packaging and shipment of individual player cards to national team and development program athletes, ensuring a high-impact presentation and delivery.
- Lead the development and management of USA Baseball’s memorabilia initiatives, including an auction program.
- Organize and distribute monthly and yearly gift packages for USA Baseball’s trading card licensee.

QUALIFICATIONS

- You have 2+ years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in a fast-paced sports or corporate environment.
- You have a proven ability to manage programs, from initiation to execution.
- You have the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with vendors, partners, and service providers.
- You have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
REMOTE WORK POLICY
USA Baseball believes in fostering a flexible work environment that promotes work-life balance and enhances employee productivity.
USA Baseball employs a Remote Work Season from the Tuesday after Labor Day through approximately March 1 of the following year. During this time, employees are expected to be in the offices three days of the week, working remotely on a designated remote workday and on Fridays. Employees are expected to be in office Monday through Friday during the USA Baseball Season, which runs from March 1 through Labor Day.
