Retail/Licensing: Warehouse Operations
The Coordinator, Retail Operations provides administrative and operational support to the Senior Director, Retail with a day to day focus on overseeing the customer experience on, including all order fulfillment and customer service. Position will work primarily from the USA Baseball Fulfillment Center in Durham, NC. 
Since 1978 USA Baseball has been the National Governing Body (NGB) for amateur baseball. It represents the sport in the United States as a member of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and internationally as a member federation of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC).  
Position Responsibilities
  • Ensure the highest level experience for each individual who engages with USA Baseball Shop.
  • Ecommerce order fulfillment, including the management of customer returns. 
  • Wholesale order fulfillment, including orders from USA Baseball’s National Team Identification Series (NTIS) regional directors. 
  • Inventory management, including comps, transfers and physical inventory preparation. 
  • Oversee and provide exceptional customer service through various communication platforms including toll-free number and email to customers on a daily basis regarding all Shop and USA Baseball general inquiries. 
  • Expectation to fully understand the Shopify system and assist with website maintenance (creation of new product listings and other general website updates).
  • Oversee product receiving from vendors.
  • Oversee product picking and shipping of both retail product and equipment for USA Baseball events throughout the country.
  • Warehouse management, including ordering shipping supplies as needed. 
  • Forecast retail product needs for USA Baseball offsite events based on analysis of previous year’s sales and be available to travel to events around the country to oversee and assist with store operations if needed. 
  • Provide assistance at the USA Baseball Team Store as needed. 
  • Expectation to work at the Fulfilment Center on all major ecommerce shopping dates. Including (but not limited to): Black Friday, Saturday and Sunday between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Cyber Monday. 
  • Provide onsite assistance at the USA Baseball National Training Complex as needed, including tarp pulls.
  • Expectation to be “on call” during all major USA Baseball event dates.
  • ]Opportunity to work on new product development, merchandising and marketing plans.
Interns/Hourly Associates  
  • This individual will oversee two (2) seasonal interns along with the Senior Director, Retail and will be the main point of contact for the 10-15 hourly Team Store sales associates hired to work in the Team Store at the USA Baseball National Training Complex for USA Baseball events. 

Basic Qualifications  
  • All candidates must demonstrate computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.  
  • Must have an excellent attitude and work well in a team setting.  
  • Must exhibit strong communication skills and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable work schedule for changing organizational needs.  
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when working with sensitive employee and business data.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of the budgeting process. 
  • Previous retail and/or event management experience.  
  • Ability to problem solve and provide new points of view. 
Required Education  
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.  
Expected Start Date
  •  February 2022.
