*Pending completion of 90 day on-boarding. During on-boarding compensation is $3500/month + benefits. From day 91 on, compensation is $4500/month + benefits. There is a built in 5-year growth plan which we will discuss during your interview.

They’re hand-picked to provide the best athlete experience in the industry and advance the team’s vision of coaching 5,000 pitchers – no small task.

After getting hired, our Performance Coaches step into Tread U, our best-in-class education system exploring coaching skills ranging from muscle physiology to data to communication. We’re confident that you’ll learn more in your first 3 months at Tread than you have over the last 3 years.

Once you pass Tread U, you’ll be trusted with your first group of Remote Athletes. You’ll truly get to oversee every aspect of your athletes’ development. No more checking in with the strength coach to make sure it’s okay for Timmy to do 2 sets of band pull-aparts before he throws. At Tread, you’re Timmy’s strength, pitching, movement, and nutrition coach.

As you build up to a full athlete workload (85+ athletes in year one), you’ll get to leverage our efficient coaching systems to scale your hard-earned expertise better than ever before. We know how much time coaches waste doing the same thing day after day; our systems eliminate much of that and allow coaches to solve more challenging problems as they continue to learn.

And it’s not just remote training. Our coaches also spend 2 hours per day on the training floor working with their athletes who have made the journey to Charlotte where they can quicken athlete feedback loops, try new cues, and build even stronger relationships with their athletes without burning out from 10-hour days on the floor.

Speaking of learning, it doesn’t stop upon graduation from Tread U. Through weekly in-services, new Tread U modules, and daily conversations with an ever-growing group of the industry’s best coaches, you’ll embody what it means to be a lifelong learner.

And then, before you know it, you’ll become the teacher and create your very own Tread U module.

You’ll be expected to contribute at a level unfamiliar to most. It’ll be uncomfortable and challenging. But when you demonstrate what you can do, the opportunities for growth are sky-high.

We’re big believers in eliminating as much outside ‘noise’ as possible. Because of that, we have a support staff allowing our coaches to focus their energy on what they do best: getting athletes better.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage, coach, and produce results with your core group of assigned Remote Athletes
- Coach your long- and short-term in-person athletes, expediting their performance improvement
- Build strong relationships with your athletes to sustain a high retention rate
- Work with our content team to produce high-quality educational material for the baseball industry
- Assist with miscellaneous tasks or special projects

What We’re Looking For

We know that there’s a person behind the résumé and are far more interested in getting to know them than simply reading off a list of prior accomplishments.

While there’s no list of skills and character traits to check off to get hired, people with these skills, traits, and experiences tend to be great Performance Coaches:

Experience coaching pitchers with a track record of success
Expertise in throwing biomechanics, strength & conditioning, mobility training, nutrition, and human performance
Experience playing at a collegiate level or greater with a track record of personal development
80-grade written and verbal communication skills
