The Ted Williams Foundation is a charitable organization that works with the Baltimore Orioles Charitable Fund and other professional teams around the country to raise funds for local philanthropic endeavors.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Ted Williams Foundation is seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Charity Auction Assistant to support our fundraising efforts during the Baltimore Orioles baseball season. This role will primarily focus on assisting with the planning, execution, and post-event activities for charity auctions, contributing to the Foundation's mission.

JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:
  • Assist in the preparation and setup of charity auction events, including item display and inventory management.
  • Support on-site auction operations, including greeting fans, selling raffle tickets & sports memorabilia, registering bidders, processing payments, and distributing auction items.
  • Provide excellent customer service to fans, answering questions about auction processes, memorabilia items, and the Foundation's mission.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
  • Help with post-auction bidder communications and reorganizing memorabilia.
  • Collaborate with Foundation and Baltimore Orioles staff to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while representing the Ted Williams Foundation.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the Orioles game schedule and corresponding auction events.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • Prior experience in fundraising, event support, retail/sales/marketing, or customer service preferred.
  • Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Friendly demeanor with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during events and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Passion for community involvement and the mission of the Ted Williams Foundation.

  3. Looking at the Baltimore Orioles schedule for 2026, are you available for at least 50% of the games, keeping in mind you will need to arrive approximately 2 hours before the scheduled game time?
