Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium Spring Training home of the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals are seeking a creative, energetic, and enthusiastic part-time Mascot Performer(s) for the 2026 Cardinals and Marlins Spring Training along with the Florida State League Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals Minor League Baseball Championship season. This role is a core part of enhancing the fan experience at the ballpark and in the community. The Mascot Performer will bring energy, personality, and fun to game days, special events, and community appearances, creating unforgettable moments for fans of all ages.
Key Responsibilities
- Game Day Entertainment: Perform engaging routines, skits, dances, and improvisation to entertain fans during Hammerheads and Cardinals home games.
- Fan Engagement: Interact with fans of all ages throughout the ballpark, including seating sections, concourses, group areas, and suites, ensuring memorable and positive experiences.
- Community Representation: Appear at community events, charity functions, schools, and sponsor appearances to represent the teams and stadium in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
- Stamina & Physical Demands: Perform in a multi-layer costume for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including walking, climbing stairs, dancing, and standing for long durations.
- Creativity & Adaptability: Help brainstorm new ideas, skits, and promotions to elevate the in-game and event experience. Adapt performances to fit a variety of settings, from high-energy ballgames to smaller promotional or kid-focused events.
- Mascot Care: Maintain the costume’s cleanliness, safety, and overall condition.
- Team Collaboration: Take direction from the promotions and game presentation staff while contributing ideas to enhance fan engagement.
- Other Duties: Assist with other promotional activities and special requests as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort performing in front of large crowds.
- Ability to interact positively with fans, especially children, in a fun and professional manner.
- Self-motivated, creative, and energetic with the ability to improvise in the moment.
- Reliable transportation and flexible schedule (availability for nights, weekends, and some holidays is required).
- Previous mascot or performance experience preferred but not required.
- Must be comfortable auditioning in the mascot costume as part of the selection process.
