Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium Spring Training home of the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals and Minor League Baseball Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals are seeking part-time Gate Attendant for the remainder of the 2026 baseball season and beyond.
The Gate Attendant is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and customer-focused gate operations for all events at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. This role assists staff, players, coaches, and at times guest with parking and access to the parking lot, monitors parking areas, and helps maintain a safe environment for patrons, employees, vendors, and stadium property.
Essential Functions
- Direct vehicles into designated parking areas while maintaining safe and efficient traffic flow.
- Greet each vehicle in a friendly, professional manner and provide directions to parking areas, stadium entrances, and other facility locations.
- Monitor parking lots to ensure vehicles are parked safely and in designated spaces.
- Assist with traffic control before, during, and after events to minimize congestion and maintain safe pedestrian crossings.
- Set up, relocate, and remove barricades, cones, signs, and other traffic control devices as directed.
- Monitor accessible parking areas and assist guests with disabilities as needed.
- Report accidents, vehicle damage, safety hazards, suspicious activity, or other incidents to Operations or Security personnel immediately.
- Assist with emergency vehicle access and evacuation procedures when necessary.
- Communicate effectively using two-way radios and follow all operational instructions from supervisors.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of parking areas by identifying and reporting debris, spills, damaged signage, or maintenance concerns.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering guest questions and assisting with parking-related concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and parking directives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous customer service, parking, traffic control, or event operations experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous while directing traffic in high-volume environments.
- Ability to follow directions, policies, and supervisory guidance.
- Professional appearance with a positive, service-oriented attitude.
- Strong situational awareness and sound judgment.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and varying shifts during the baseball season.
- Fluency in English required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to four (4) hours at a time).
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and direct sunlight.
- Ability to lift and move traffic cones, barricades, signs, and other parking equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively using two-way radios.
