Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium is adding a Broadcasting and Media Relations Intern who will assist the Media Relations and Marketing team covering the Jupiter Hammerheads (Class-A Affiliate, Miami Marlins) and Palm Beach Cardinals (Class-A Affiliate, St. Louis Cardinals).
 
This position will work under the Broadcasting and Media Relations Coordinator for the entire Florida State League season while assisting with marketing, media relations, and in-game production throughout the season. There is an expectation that this role will also contribute to the sales team and other departments throughout the season. There are also opportunities to work during Spring Training as well as other departments when needed.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide select play-by-play/color commentary for all home games for the Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals during the season
  • Assist with stadium media relations such as press credentials, interview requests, press releases, and working alongside local media partners. 
  • Write and distribute game notes, stat packs, rosters, postgame recaps and lineups  
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Media Relations department on social media and promotions projects
  • Assist and produce video and audio highlights for social media, website, and sponsorship proof-of-performance
  • Contribute to selling sponsorships and ticket packages for the stadium
  • Participate in all other duties as assigned and required
 
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Experience in baseball play-by-play broadcasting
  • Experience in video editing and graphic design
  • Must have exceptional writing skills
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and broadcasting equipment
  • Must get tasks done at a high standard in an efficient manner
  • Must be willing to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be willing to work with other departments of the organization
  • Experience in promotions and/or in-game production/Daktronics software is a plus (but not required)
  • Sales experience is a plus (but not required)
  • IF OUTSIDE OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, MUST BE WILLING TO COMMUTE AND/OR RELOCATE.
  • Must pass a drug test and criminal background check.
 
SALARY: Florida State Minimum Wage
