Position Description: The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) is looking for an organized, self-motivated, team-oriented individual to assist all facets of the organization, including but not limited to day-to-day operations, communications, event management, fundraising and membership development. This internship will provide a well-rounded experience for students interested in sports management. Internship length is 3-months. This role is hybrid, and you are required to come into our Colorado Springs office 3 days a week while working 2 days remotely.

Salary: Receive $1,000 at the beginning of the internship and $1,000 at the end of the internship. An additional $1,500 housing credit reimbursement is provided. May also receive college credit if needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Communications Department:
  • Create graphics for social media, web, and e-mail that align with brand identity.
  • Assist with details and execution of our 2026 Heart and Hustle Award along with special projects as assigned.
Special Events Department:
  • Assist with all event logistics, including but not limited to creating invites, making calls, confirming attendees, venue applications, and research for new events. 
  • Plan and direct a Legends for Youth Clinic with the assistance of the Youth Baseball Team in the Colorado Springs and Denver area. Including finding the host site, sending invites, confirming USA Baseball Background checks, and running point the day of the clinic with the help of an MLBPAA staff member.
HR/Accounting/Operations:
  • Data entry, filing and office organization.
  • Research relevant social issues, programs, or topics that support the organization’s efforts.
Membership & Development Departments:
  • Support the Membership and Development department, including but not limited to research and execution of new member benefits, assisting with the preparation for Alumni Days, membership renewals and retention, charitable contributions and Career Development services support. 
  •  Create a new and innovative marketing strategy to help recruit fan members and engage former players in the private MLBPAA Clubhouse App.
