Driveline Baseball - Pitching Trainer

Location: Guerra, Dominican Republic
Employment: Full-Time Preferred; Part-Time Opportunities May Also Be Available
Compensation: Hourly, Rate Dependent on Experience

Driveline Baseball, a data-driven player development organization, is seeking a Pitching Trainer to join our new facility in Guerra, Dominican Republic.

Our Guerra location will operate as Driveline’s fourth fully integrated facility alongside Kent, WA, Tampa, FL, and Scottsdale, AZ. This role will work closely with our Pitching Management, Facility Operations, and Sports Science teams to deliver consistent athlete assessment, programming, and coaching standards across locations.

We’re seeking talented coaches from diverse backgrounds who bring expertise in pitching, high performance, and athlete development. The ideal candidate will:

  • Collaborate effectively with trainers, coaches, athletes, and team personnel.
  • Communicate fluently in both Spanish and English.
  • Demonstrate a passion for helping athletes improve and succeed.
  • Be eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
  • Be adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable helping build systems and culture at a new facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized pitching programs based on Driveline's data-driven protocols.
  • Leverage technology to assess pitcher skill and strategies, including biomechanics, arsenal analysis, command and other performance metrics.
  • Operate Driveline’s biomechanics lab and baseball technologies, including TrackMan, Pulse, Rapsodo, and related systems.
  • Collaborate with Pitching Management and Sports Science to optimize athlete training and assessment.
  • Coach athletes across youth, amateur, academy, collegiate, minor league, and professional levels.
  • Communicate effectively with Latin American players, coaches, and team executives, as well as English-speaking team personnel and Driveline staff in the United States.
  • Maintain accurate athlete training records and documentation.
  • Contribute to a positive, growth-oriented training environment.
  • Support facility operations as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional fluency in both Spanish and English.
  • Excellent "feel" — the mix of empathy, common sense, and likability that makes people trust you.
  • Minimum of 1 season of coaching experience in baseball or strength and conditioning.
  • Strong familiarity with Driveline's training methodologies, tools, and/or baseball technology through direct experience or extensive study.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Comfort using computers and learning, operating, and troubleshooting technology.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Comfort with frequent physical activity, including throwing, demonstrating exercises, and hands-on coaching.
  • Creative solutions to unique training limitations. Be a problem solver.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Progress towards a degree in exercise science, biomechanics, or related field.
  • A history of independent learning, including published work in peer-reviewed journals, preprints, or blog articles.
  • Experience using Driveline’s open-source biomechanics data.
  • Proficiency with baseball technology such as Trackman, Rapsodo, and Pulse.
  • Experience in both pitching and strength and conditioning.
  • Experience working with professional baseball organizations, international athletes, or baseball academies.
  • Experience with content creation, videography, generative AI, or related tools.
