Overview
The Charleston Dirty Birds Promo Team enhances the fan experience by executing on-field contests, in-stadium promotions, and community appearances. This team is responsible for engaging fans, distributing giveaways, managing on-field activities, promoting sponsors, and assisting with pre- and post-game setup to ensure a high-energy, entertaining atmosphere at every home game.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- In-Game Entertainment: Run between-innings on-field contests, throw T-shirts, and participate in skits or other fan-facing performances
- Crowd Engagement: Welcome fans, identify enthusiastic participants for promotions, and interact with children and families
- Giveaway Distribution: Hand out promotional items such as bobbleheads, banners, and team merchandise at gates or in the stands
- Sponsorship Fulfillment: Execute marketing partner activations, including holding banners or promoting products during games
- Appearances: Represent the Charleston Dirty Birds at local community events, schools, and parades
- Setup and Cleanup: Assist with setting up audio/visual equipment, promotional booths, and clean up materials after games
Qualifications
- High Energy: Ability to project enthusiasm and excitement in front of large crowds
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to address fans and work with the PA system
- Reliability: Willingness to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, for all home games
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift, carry, and set up promotional and marketing materials
- Performance Capability: Comfortable performing in front of thousands of people, sometimes in mascot or specialized costumes
- Team Player: Able to collaborate with marketing, camera, and game entertainment teams
Working Conditions
- Environment: Primarily outdoor in-stadium settings, including exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, rain, or wind
- Schedule: Part-time, seasonal, and evening hours based on the Charleston Dirty Birds home game schedule
