The Staten Island FerryHawks are seeking an energetic and dynamic Public Address (PA) Announcer for the 2026 season. The PA Announcer will play a key role in creating an engaging and exciting atmosphere for fans at all home games. This individual must have a existing knowledge of baseball, a strong vocal presence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Responsibilities:
- Announce player lineups, substitutions, and other game-related information- not always with direction.
- Provide in-game updates, including scores, stats, and key moments.
- Announce promotions, contests, and other fan engagement activities.
- Coordinate with the Director of Entertainment, and production team to ensure smooth
and timely in-game announcements. - Maintain a high energy level and positive presence to keep fans engaged throughout the
game. - Adapt to fast-paced, high-pressure situations while maintaining accuracy and enthusiasm.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Entertainment.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of baseball.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills and a clear, strong, and energetic voice.
- Ability to stay composed in a fast-paced, live-event environment.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to read & engage a crowd.
- Availability on Game Days (Schedule can be found at FerryHawks.com)
- A passion for sports and fan engagement.
Preferred:
- Experience with sports broadcasting or public speaking.
- Previous experience as a PA Announcer or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with the Staten Island FerryHawks, Atlantic League, or Minor League Baseball.
