Position Overview:
The Staten Island FerryHawks are looking for reliable Special Events Interns to help bring our biggest game day experiences to life! This role is perfect for someone who loves live events and thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy ballpark environment. From theme nights to top promotional events, you’ll assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of the entertainment and event elements that make our games unforgettable. You will work closely with the entertainment & promotions team to bring energy and excitement to every game!
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and execution of special events and large promotional game days.
- Staging and AV setup, opportunity to learn basic DMX programming and Audio Mixing.
- Decor and theme setup for promotional nights (banners, flags, bunting, etc)
- Pre-game and in-game event support as needed.
- Post-event breakdown, organization, and cleanup.
- Supporting the Entertainment and Game Day Operations teams with general event-related tasks
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Entertainment.
Requirements:
- Able to work most, if not all weekend home game dates as well as top promotional dates as deemed by the Director of Entertainment.
- Able to work long flexible days.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow direction in a live-event environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting with changing priorities.
- A strong communicator and team player.
- Organized, proactive, and ready to help wherever needed.
- Able to lift 25-50 pounds and move equipment.
- Able to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Comfortable on a ladder up to 12ft.
Duration:
This internship will last for the duration of the 2026 baseball season. The season begins April 24th, 2026 and ends September 13th, 2026. Training will be held in Mid April. This is position is expected to report on weekend game dates, and top promo game dates. There are 63 total Game Days, about 25-30 will be deemed as Special Event Days.

This is an unpaid internship, but you’ll gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, professional sports entertainment environment and have the opportunity to network with industry professionals.
