The Staten Island FerryHawks bring energy, excitement, and unforgettable moments to the ballpark all summer long! Our Entertainment Department is the heartbeat of the fan experience — from between-inning games and on-field promotions to music, theme nights, and community events. We’re looking for creative, energetic, and reliable students to join our team as Promotions Assistants for the Fall 2025 semester.
Position Overview
As a Promotions Assistant Intern, you’ll work directly with the Director of Entertainment Promotions to help plan, coordinate, and strategize in-game entertainment and fan engagement initiatives. This is a hands-on role perfect for students seeking experience in sports marketing, live entertainment, and event management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of in-game promotions, theme nights, and special events.
- Help develop creative ideas for fan engagement, contests, and giveaways.
- Assist in managing and organizing props, costumes, and promotional inventory.
- Collaborate with other departments (marketing, community relations, production) to ensure seamless event planning.
- Represent the FerryHawks at community and promotional events throughout Staten Island.
Learning Outcomes
- Hands-on experience in live event production and promotions.
- Practical knowledge of sports marketing, entertainment planning, and fan engagement strategies.
- Exposure to community outreach and brand activation in a professional sports setting.
- Networking opportunities within the sports and entertainment industry.
