Position Overview

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs are seeking a dynamic, creative, and results-driven professional to serve as our Marketing & Promotions Manager. This full-time leadership role is responsible for planning, developing, and executing the club’s marketing initiatives and promotional strategy throughout the year.

This position plays a vital role in driving ticket revenue, enhancing the fan experience, and reinforcing the Blue Crabs’ identity. The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Essential Job Functions
Marketing & Promotions Strategy

  • Develop and execute the full promotional calendar, including theme nights, giveaways, specialty jerseys, and in-game entertainment.
  • Lead the creation and execution of fan engagement initiatives that enhance the overall game day experience.
  • Coordinate on-field promotions, sponsor activations, ceremonies, contests, and specialty experiences.
  • Oversee the execution of specialty jersey nights, including design coordination, auction campaigns (online and in-person), and promotional strategy.
  • Collaborate with Ticket Sales to align promotional efforts with revenue-driving initiatives including group outings, fundraising programs, and premium experiences.
  • Lead social media content planning and digital marketing initiatives alongside the Assistant General Manager and General Manager.
  • Support media relations efforts, including press releases and announcements.

Internal Leadership & Operations

  • Assist in hiring, training, and supervising promotional staff and interns.
  • Maintain structured filing systems for marketing assets, photos, and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally with Ticketing, Partnerships, Operations, and Stadium staff to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Support year-round brand development initiatives and creative campaigns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
