Job Summary
The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Clubhouse Manager to oversee the daily operation, cleanliness, and readiness of the Blue Crabs’ clubhouse, dugouts, and team facilities at Regency Furniture Stadium. This role supports the entire baseball operations staff by ensuring a professional and organized environment for players, coaches, umpires, and front office personnel throughout the season.
Position Overview
The Clubhouse Manager ensures all clubhouse and dugout areas are properly maintained, stocked, and prepared for daily use and game activities. This includes managing uniforms, equipment, meals and snacks, laundry, and bench supplies per league standards. The ideal candidate works collaboratively with staff across departments, exhibits excellent organization and communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, baseball-centric environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional clubhouse, umpire locker room, and dugout areas at all times.
- Provide and restock bench supplies, towels, uniforms, and player essentials per Atlantic League requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate pre-game snacks and post-game meals, ensuring quality and timely service.
- Launder and repair player uniforms, towels, and other team apparel.
- Organize and set up clubhouse and dugout for games and practices, including beverages and equipment.
- Oversee inventory of clubhouse supplies and manage ordering as needed.
- Communicate regularly with coaches, trainers, equipment personnel, and operations staff to support team needs.
- Assist with team travel logistics, including packing and preparing clubhouse items for road trips.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Baseball Operations or Stadium Operations leadership.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in clubhouse, equipment management, hospitality operations, or sports operations preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours throughout the baseball season.
- Must be able to lift up to 50+ lbs., stand, and be on your feet for extended periods.
- Dependable transportation and flexibility for travel with team as needed.
