Great South Bay Hospitality, the concessions arm of the Long Island Ducks, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Concourse Food & Beverage Manager to oversee all food and beverage operations on the ballpark concourse during games and events. This role is responsible for leading concession teams, ensuring food safety and service standards, supporting inventory and staffing needs, and maintaining a fast, guest-focused operation in a high-volume environment.
This is a seasonal position that runs from April through September.
Key Responsibilities
Concourse Operations
· Oversee day-to-day food and beverage operations across all concession stands on the concourse.
· Monitor speed of service, food quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction during events.
· Troubleshoot operational issues in real time and adjust staffing or workflow as needed.
Team Leadership
· Supervise and support concession stand leads and team members during service.
· Assist with staffing coordination and coverage for game days.
· Coach employees on service standards, food safety, and guest interaction during shifts.
Food Safety & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
· Conduct pre-game checks of stands, equipment, and sanitation readiness.
· Address safety, quality, or cleanliness concerns immediately and document as needed.
Inventory & Support
· Monitor inventory levels during service and coordinate restocking as needed.
· Communicate product shortages and operational needs to warehouse and culinary teams.
· Support stand opening/closing readiness and ensure stations are properly stocked.
Guest Experience
· Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and service recovery needs.
· Support a positive, efficient, and energetic game-day atmosphere.
Qualifications
· 2+ years of food service or hospitality leadership experience (high-volume concessions preferred).
· Stadium, arena, theme park, or large-venue experience is a plus.
· Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to lead teams in fast-paced, live-event environments.
· Availability for all scheduled home game dates; nights/weekends/holidays required.
