OVERVIEW
The Lexington Legends are a proud member of the Atlantic League. This November, CommonSpirit Ballpark will host the second year of Lexington's Legendary Festival of Lights, a walk-through holiday light experience that debuted in 2025 with over 1.5 million lights, themed displays, a holiday market, nightly entertainment, and photos with Santa. The Legends are seeking 2–3 motivated Seasonal Special Events Assistants to run point on executing this year's Festival, from outbound group sales to on-site logistics, as the event grows into a premier regional holiday destination.

Seasonal / Part-Time 
This role is paid. It may also be eligible for college credit through your academic institution — credit approval is determined by your school, not the Legends. Enrollment in college is not required to apply.

DATES & SCHEDULE
●        Start: Early October 
●        Part-Time Office Hours at CommonSpirit Ballpark weekly leading up to the Festival 
●        Festival dates: November 20, 2026 – January 2, 2027
●        Must be available to work at least 70% of festival operating dates, including nights, weekends, and holidays

PRIMARY DUTIES
●        Drive outbound sales for group tickets, fundraising ticket portals, and community/organization partnerships for the Festival of Lights.
●        Execute promotional and marketing goals in support of Festival attendance and revenue targets.
●        Support event logistics on operating nights, including setup, guest flow, vendor coordination, and breakdown.
●        Assist with coordination of themed displays, holiday market vendors, live entertainment, and Santa photo experience.
●        Represent the Legends at community events, local organizations, and networking opportunities to promote the Festival.
●        Track sales activity and report progress toward promotional and revenue goals.
●        Work closely with Food & Beverage, Sales, and Marketing staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
●        Support the team with general festival operations and other duties as assigned by team leadership.
The outline of responsibilities could fluctuate and change at any point during the festival.

QUALIFICATIONS
●        Prior experience in sales, events, hospitality, or customer service preferred; no minimum years required.
●        A self-starter comfortable with outbound sales and cold outreach.
●        Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
●        Ability to work a flexible, night- and weekend-heavy schedule, including holidays, from the end of November through early January.
●        Comfortable working outdoors in cold-weather conditions for extended shifts.
●        Interest in pursuing a full-time career in sports/event business is a plus — this role is designed as an entry point into the sports and entertainment industry.
