The Lexington Legends are a proud member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and Central Kentucky’s longest-running professional sports team. The Legends continue to build on a tradition of community impact, family-friendly entertainment, and excellence both on and off the field.
Position Overview:
The Lexington Legends Internship program offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of professional baseball. Interns will play a key role in helping drive the success of the Lexington Legends both on and off the field while gaining valuable insight into the day-to-day operations of a professional sports organization.
Timeline: April 1st - September 6th.
Expectations: Interns are expected to work the full duration of the 2026 baseball season.
Compensation: Paid per Game-day.
Hours: 10-30 hours per week, depending on the game schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of gameday promotions scripts.
- Assist in coordinating and executing community appearances to strengthen connections with our fan base.
- Represent the Lexington Legends at local events with the Legends Mascot.
- Serve as a Legends Ambassador and Member of the Street Team.
- Serve as a member of the Promo Team, assisting and executing all on-field promotions.
- Assist with on-site event operations, including setup, breakdown, and ensuring events run smoothly according to plan.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing Lexington Legends Gameday and Non-Gameday events and related activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must currently be a college student or recent graduate.
- Must be available for all Lexington Legends Home Games.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Outgoing personality with a strong work ethic.
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
