The Lexington Legends Fellowship Program offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of professional baseball. Fellows will play a key role in helping drive the success of the Lexington Legends both on and off the field while gaining valuable insight into the day-to-day operations of a professional sports organization. 

Fellows will be selected based on their career interests, academic background, amd prior experience. They will report directly to the Program Director. Throughout the program, fellows will engage with the Legends’ leadership team, participate in department-specific projects, contribute to group initiatives, and take part in community and ballpark events that reflect the spirit of Legends Baseball. 

This is a paid Fellowship that runs for approximately 1 year. The ideal candidate will have completed their bachelor's degree or will graduate in May 2026. 

Duration: 1 Year  
Start Date: February 1st
Compensation: Monthly Stipend  
Hours: 30-40 Hours a week

Production Fellowship  
  • Assist in Video Board Management.  
  • Assist with the planning and coordinating of on-field activities with the promotions department. 
  • Program video board equipment daily (headshots, stats, logos, etc.) 
  • Assist in the creation in visual content for the video board. 
  • Utilize motion graphics, headshots, promotional graphics, etc. For the videoboard on gamedays. 
  • Work with team photographer to create a database of all baseball related photographs, fan shots, and marketing collateral.   
  • Assist with creation and editing of short-form video for social media.  
  • Helps add to and maintain the music library for pregame and between innings. 
  • Serve as a Liaison between the press box and promotions departments on game day. 

Community Relations, Fan Engagement & Promotions Fellowship  
  • Assist with the planning and execution of on-field promotions, theme nights, and fan engagement activities. 
  • Support the promotional team and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event execution. 
  • Support marketing efforts for special entertainment initiatives, including theme nights, live performances, and character appearances. 
  • Work with Marketing team to create flyers, sales collateral, banners, etc. 
  • Actively seek community events and appearances to attend. 
  • Assist in Mascot/Player appearance in and around the Lexington community.  
  • Assist in community grassroots marketing initiatives. 
  • Serve as a member of the street team, representing the Legends in the community. 
  • Assist with game-day responsibilities including, but not limited to, overseeing the Lil’ Legends Kids Club table and any pre-game events. 
  • Contribute to the creation and distribution of promotional materials such as flyers, brochures and social media content highlighting community engagement and mascot programs. 

Sales Fellowship  
  • Outbound sales calls to generate sales leads and identify new customers.  
  • Service inbound customer phone calls and ticket orders keeping customer service a top priority. 
  • Staff ticket windows in box office on game days on a rotating schedule. 
  • Provide strong support for the ticket sales team while partnering with ticket sales executives to assist as needed. 
  • Maintain accurate database files and customer information utilizing ticketing CRM databases. 
  • Work closely with Director of Ticket Operations in coordinating box office operations. 
  • Work with ticket sales department to promote packages and ticket plans to all Legends customers. 
  • Assisting with tabling events to promote individual, group, and season tickets throughout the community.  
  • Ensure a positive and welcoming experience for all fans entering the ballpark.
