The Lexington Legends are a proud member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and Central Kentucky’s longest-running professional sports team. The Legends continue to build on a tradition of community impact, family-friendly entertainment, and excellence both on and off the field.
The Director of Video Production will play a critical role in shaping the Legends’ fan experience, overseeing all aspects of video and broadcast production, creating compelling media content (including social media), and leading the department in delivering innovative in-game entertainment and storytelling.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce traditional and digital video content from concept to execution, including graphics, animation, commercials, live video content, and social media content for the Legends’ videoboard, LED boards, roadside marquee, and social media platforms.
- Oversee all aspects of the Legends’ game-day multimedia presentation and execution to ensure a high-quality fan experience.
- Hire, train, and manage a seasonal crew including camera operators, replay operators, video board operators, and additional production staff.
- Manage production of video shoots and commercials: writing scripts, scheduling shoots, filming, and post-production editing.
- Collaborate with corporate partners and sponsors to create branded content and in-game activations that drive partnership value.
- Build and maintain the Legends’ video archive, including highlights, game footage, player features, and fan engagement clips.
- Coordinate all A/V requirements for special events at Legends Field (non-baseball events, community events, rentals, concerts, etc.)
- Support the Marketing, Community Engagement, and Sponsorship departments by creating promotional content and storytelling pieces that highlight the Legends brand.
- Contribute to additional promotions, marketing initiatives, and organizational projects as directed by the General Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with video production software, e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud
- As least 2+ years of experience managing entertainment productions with a focus on sports or live events
- Widespread knowledge of current video and social trends, game logistics, and latest technical equipment
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited university or college
