The High Point Rockers of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball is actively seeking a Promotions and Community Relations Coordinator to begin in March. WE NEED A HIGH ENERGY AND ENTHUSIASTIC PERSON! This position is entry level, fulltime and is responsible for handling all aspects of stadium entertainment including in-game activities, promotional nights and the complete game run-of-show as well as the team's presence in the community. The High Point Downtown Stadium Foundation, a registered 5012c3 non-profit, is the parent entity for the High Point Rockers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and manage the team promotions schedule for all home games including theme nights, giveaways and entertainment.
- Hire and train staff/interns to assist with promotional operations.
- Produce script for in-game run-of-show including video board elements, on-field entertainment, and public address announcements.
- Manage and organize all in-stadium music on a daily basis.
- Assist with the ordering of all promotional giveaway items.
- Create community initiatives to promote the Rockers.
- Assist with numerous special events at the ballpark as needed throughout the year.
- Promote all nightly promotions and events in the community and at the ballpark.
- Handle the scheduling and execution of appearances by the team mascot in the community.
- Represent the team at various functions in the community.
- Work in conjunction with the Rockers Production Director to create, develop and produce creative digital shorts to market upcoming events/promotions at the ballpark.
- Assist with key elements of the Rockers website and social media channels, including creating promotional graphics and videos when necessary.
- Execute promotional and marketing aspects that included in any Rockers promotional partnerships.
- Other administrative and operational duties as assigned.
- Reports directly to Team President and Assistant General Manager; works in closely in conjunction with Communications Director, Production Director and Social Media Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College Degree required, preferably in the area of Marketing, Sport Management Event Planning or a related field.
- Must be organized and able to meet numerous deadlines.
- Must possess strong intrapersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of BASEBALL and sports is a must!
- Creativity and out -of-the-box thinking are a must!
- Must be a team player in working with the entire Rockers staff.
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in sports marketing-based position preferred.
- Required to work all Rockers games and events at ballpark; must be able to work weekends and evenings.
