The High Point Rockers of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball are seeking a Box Office Manager that will assist in the processing of ticket orders including payments, reporting and the controlling of ticket inventories of the High Point Rockers Baseball team AND other events at Truist Point. Events include all High Point Rockers baseball games and home matches for the Carolina Core FC (MLS NextPro). This position will develop, plan, and deliver training on all ticketing procedures and work closely with the Director of Ticket Operations to create ticket packages, promotions, and sales initiatives. They will also be responsible for the opening, operating, upkeep and reconciliation of daily sales for the box office.
The High Point Rockers and the Carolina Core FC play home games/matches at Truist Point in downtown High Point (NC). Truist Point was opened in 2019 as a multi-purpose facility and has hosted numerous events.
Reports Directly To: Director of Ticket Operations
Job Requirements:
- Responsible for the daily upkeep and operating of the Box Office/Sales Window during both normal business hours and games/events.
- Oversees the daily management of all part-time ticket sellers and supervisors. This includes recruitment, scheduling, and training of staff for daytime and event shifts. Scheduling should be done in line with the department budget, while accommodating all event needs.
- Regularly evaluate processes to create efficiency with staff and resources.
- Responsible for Box Office financial reporting across all lines of revenue through the ticketing system, including the reconciliation of all Stadium and Premium ticket sales.
- Work in collaboration with Ticketing company (Tickets.com) to drive revenue through innovation and utilization of software capabilities.
- Assist Director of Operations in the building, selling and evaluation of ticketed events.
- Collaborate with the Finance Department to ensure that all ticketing reporting is accurate against money received, and that all money is reported correctly in the event ledger.
- Oversee ticket inventory management from sale through event settlement and post-event financial reconciliation.
- Assist all departments with the handling of internal ticket allotments and allocations for all events.
- Assist with the processing of tickets regarding group outings and ticket packages.
- Oversee Will Call for all ticketed events, ensuring compliance with all relevant ticket laws.
- Other aspects of professional baseball and facility operations assigned by President.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant equivalent experience.
- Experience in Tickets.com or other ticket software highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of technology systems, internet applications and CRM systems.
- Strong math aptitude and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate sound organizational and personal interface skills.
- Must be able to regularly work late evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
- Minimum of one (1) year of managerial experience preferred.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Knowledge of baseball a must.
Other:
- Expected to work ALL baseball and soccer games, as well as any additional outside events as needed.
- Achieve outstanding customer service levels across all tiers of ticketing.
- Manage ticketing inventory on events at the arena from on sale planning, ticket sales and successfully competing event settlement and financial reconciliation.
- Develop excellent financial practices and ensure that all box office monies are properly and correctly accounted for at all times.
- Salary commensurate with experience and capabilities.
