Company Overview:

Brand New Ballpark in Hagerstown, Maryland ! The locally owned, state-of-the-art facility will be home to a Minor League baseball team of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, celebrating its 25th anniversary in2023. The ownership of Downtown Baseball LLC., is dedicated to the revitalization of downtown Hagerstown and providing the community a place to live, work and play. The organization is looking for dedicated and hard-working individuals to join the Hagerstown team and be part of an amazing process in creating memories for all of Hagerstown.

Compensation:

$1,200.00 per month. The position will have a start date in April 2024 and last until the end of September 2024.

Position Overview:
The Stadium Operations Associate will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the organization’s daily operations while gaining hands-on experience in all areas of stadium operations and maintenance in addition to ensuring the playing surface is maintained to full functioning capability. The ideal candidate must possess a strong work ethic with an interest in facilities management, business management and/or event management.

Willingness to learn about a full suite of skills including, but not limited to, security deployments, cleaning best practices, operation of heavy machinery and general facilities maintenance
Work with multiple departments for successful event management
Event set up for all ALPB home games and non-game events
Maintain supplies, including completing orders, and managing inventories
Repair and improve all areas of the ballpark and grounds as needed
Take care of grounds and operations facilities including, but not limited to, grounds shop, hitting tunnel, maintenance yard, etc.
Work closely with seasonal staff to accomplish a well-organized and clean facility.
Other duties as assigned by Director of Stadium Operations or upper management.
Willingness to learn skills including, but not limited to, batting practice setup and teardown, pregame field prep, postgame field prep, as well as any in game field maintenance
Previous facility experiences preferred but not required
Previous experience with physical labor preferred but not required
Represent the organization at community events
Other duties as assigned by department managers.

Requirements:
Completing or have completed a four–year college degree strongly preferred (Sport Management, Marketing, Business, Communications or other related field). Ability to maintain flexible hours, including but not limited to, normal business hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays. Must provide own transportation. Ability to stand for long periods of time, be able to lift up to 25lbs and be outdoors during the Spring and Summer months.

Qualifications:

Successful Completion of a background check
Self-motivated and hard working
Current Driver’s License
Responsible individual with sound judgement.
Team Player that must work well in team setting and individually.
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
This position requires a candidate to have administrative skills, such as using Excel and Microsoft Office Products.
Candidate must be able to work long hours including weekends in the height of the season.
Candidate must be able to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, bend, lift, push, pull, kneel, or crouch for long periods of time.
Candidate must be able to handle weather related elements such as rain and heat.
