2022 interns will help Momentous Sports & Entertainment and the Gastonia Honey Hunters in various departments with day-to-day operations and help to deliver an exciting and unique experience to a broad, diverse, and multi-generational audience in our target markets. Reporting to the various department managers, 2022 interns must be open to gaining hands-on experience in the sports and entertainment field and serve as brand ambassadors.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Depending on which department that interns are assigned to, roles and responsibilities will include:

Assist POS System Maintenance and Inventory Control
Inventory management
Fulfillment organization and logistics- pulling stock, process online orders, shipping and handling
Assist in sales prospecting for groups and hospitality and sponsorship including but not limited to sales calls, prospecting new business, and shadowing sales teams
Assist in the operational department including but not limited to game day parking, batting practice assistance (set-up + tear down), general maintenance
Learning the ticketing system to sell single and multi-game tickets with Box Office Manager
Assist in printing and distribution of will call tickets
Participating in game promotions including but not limited to finding fans to participate in promotions (trivia, on field games), creating and distributing Prize Packs, engaging with fans during t-shirt tosses and giveaways
Monitoring gates during giveaway nights to assist in distribution and flow of events
Shadow and general assistance of various staff and departments including Sales, Merchandise, Box Office/Ticketing, Operations, and Marketing/Communications/PR
Assist with social media content creation and management
Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

College students in need of college credit through their university
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written and oral communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
Ability to remain professional and courteous in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment, including during emergencies
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Excellent and engaging interpersonal skills
High energy, strong detail orientation and superior work ethic
