Position Overview:

The Atlanta Braves are seeking a Minor League Spanish Teacher. This is a remote role but will require travel to North Port, FL for Spring Training. The teacher will work closely with the Braves Education team to provide year-round Spanish instruction to players and staff. 

This is a full-time, remote position with required travel to North Port, Florida.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Teach small-group Spanish classes via Zoom to Braves players, coaches, and front office staff.
  • Work with Braves Education team to design and implement Spanish for Specific Purposes curriculum.
  • Travel to North Port, FL during Spring Training to conduct language evaluations, teach classes, interpret meetings, and support our first-year international players’ transition to the U.S.
  • Provide regular feedback to program participants with actionable steps for independent improvement.
  • Set weekly class schedule and send calendar invites to program participants. 
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, TESOL, Spanish, or other related discipline.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • 3+ years of experience teaching Spanish to adults.
  • A strong passion for baseball and the ability to discuss advanced, specialized aspects of the game.
  • Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Zoom, and interactive teaching tools such as Quizlet and Kahoot!
